I happen to land in Hong Kong just after the Chinese New Year. This was the year of the Ox. The Chinese zodiac has 12 creatures each representing a particular year. Therefore, it stands to reason that every 12 years there's a repeat. As fate would have it, this was also the year of the global meltdown. However, in the 3 days that I was in Hong Kong I could see no signs of any recession.
